This apartment takes inspiration from our daughter Sara’s passion for design. She studied design at IED Milano and is passionate about vintage finds, loves clean lines, functionality and iconic furniture.

Private Parking: A Rare Luxury

This apartment includes private parking in a garage only a 2-minute walk (170m) from the apartment. In central Milan, this is one of the most appreciated luxuries you can have.

What Makes This Space Special

Our co-host Rossana helped Sara find our pièce de résistance: a vintage Grundig record player (a beautiful piece, though not currently functioning) that welcomes you at the entrance.

The walls are decorated with brightly colored geometrical abstract paintings made by Simone’s father. Every Sunday for decades, he went to his little studio in Navigli to paint and discuss art with his artist friends from the concrete art movement.

And we should probably not even tell you this, but the chairs are authentic vintage Thonet chairs and the magnificent wooden table was our own private dining table for over 30 years. What shall we say? We love to spoil our guests. 🙂

The Bedroom: Rest & Recharge

The bedroom is bright and white with an accent wall featuring this distinctive geometrical tapestry in bright orange and red. I (Nina) chose it because it reminded me so much of my father-in-law’s paintings. You’ll find a comfortable queen-size bed and a small desk for work or study.

Kitchen & Living Room

We wanted to create a warm, cozy atmosphere, so we chose a green accent wall with decorative molding, mustard yellow accents (the double sofa bed), and a wooden kitchen. It came together exactly as we hoped.

Cooking at Home

You’ll have the essentials: microwave oven, induction cooktop, a compact fridge, and a traditional Moka pot to make espresso coffee. Of course there’s tableware, pots and pans, and even a little electric whisk to froth your milk for cappuccinos.

Traveling with Kids?

We’ve got you covered. The little ones have their own tableware, a high chair, a cot, and even a foldable bathtub and toilet adapter if you need it.

The Bathroom

The bathroom has an exclusive feel with its matte black tile floor, black tile shower, and warm white tiles. It gives us that spa feeling and has a design sink, shower, toilet, and bidet shower.
